And neither the Islamic Allah nor Palin's, Bush's, or McCain's God is anything like Casper the Friendly Ghost.

EdAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200276.post-27702070466109787332008-09-04T08:35:00.000-04:002008-09-04T08:35:00.000-04:00> I think the Left is about to tire of being la...> I think the Left is about to tire of being labeled as anti-religious and in 12-16 years we'll see both sides having candidates invoking God as their guide and inspiration.

>I agree, only to add that I think the trend is moving much faster.

I think the trend has been painfully obvious from the outset of the Democratic nomination process last year. I've never heard Democrats talk so much about "God" and religion. They all sound like George W. Bush. This all begs the question - do they honestly hold these beliefs and decided they needed to get them out there; or are they doing this to simply pander to a target audience? Which is worse?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200276.post-40605763247422208602008-09-04T06:23:00.000-04:002008-09-04T06:23:00.000-04:00She's hearing voices telling her what to do. Obama went to Jerusalem and prayed for God to make him an instrument of His will. I think the Left is about to tire of being labeled as anti-religious and in 12-16 years we'll see both sides having candidates invoking God as their guide and inspiration.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200276.post-4444921699086402462008-09-03T20:33:00.000-04:002008-09-03T20:33:00.000-04:00Nick, thank you for your comments on the Palin dis...Nick, thank you for your comments on the Palin disaster. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one out here who hasn't climbed on the Sar-rah-rah bandwagon. She may be "competent" in certain specific areas, but it is becoming increasingly obvious that her frightening religious fanaticism colors everything in her life. And this woman will be one melanoma away from the White House? This is quite literally a stunning setback.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
