I believe I'd even settle for a well done HBO series style project.
In my estimation, step one is to continue to generate interest. Buy book one for anyone you think might enjoy it and in all likelihood they'll buy the rest of the series - I know I did.

What would be truly, truly amazing is if it could be turned into a year long cable series, ala Deadwood, Band of Brothers, etc. Imagine owning the 10 disc DVD boxed set of the Sparrowhawk Series! Ah, the level of detail! I've got my fingers crossed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200276.post-50813537658769075652008-12-14T15:16:00.000-05:002008-12-14T15:16:00.000-05:00Jasmine wrote: "Ed, Is there anything in the works...Jasmine wrote: "Ed,
Is there anything in the works at present where you have been approached by any televison producer for your books to be converted into a television series?

The task would be monumental for any producer to take up -but the thought of such an event and seeing all those characters on a tv screen is exilarating. "When's the movie coming out?" is the most frequently asked question from readers who have read the whole series at my booksignings. It would be a monumental project, and need to be tackled by a monumental director. "Dumb and Dumber" caliber directors needn't apply. Are there any monumental directors left, say, of the level of David Lean?

EdAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200276.post-62123956406140549612008-12-13T14:20:00.000-05:002008-12-13T14:20:00.000-05:00Ed, Is there anything in the works at present wher...Ed,
Is there anything in the works at present where you have been approached by any televison producer for your books to be converted into a television series?

The task would be monumental for any producer to take up -but the thought of such an event and seeing all those characters on a tv screen is exilarating. Yes, I have, and it's not as satisfying for me as writing novels.

Anonymous: Yes, Tacitus remarked on the same phenomenon, and my Brit contacts sometimes use his remarks as a thematic understatement for their own Objectivist comments/news. I'll ask.

Ed Cline
EdEdward Clinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11137609409286630058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200276.post-81991672022910922912008-12-10T03:43:00.000-05:002008-12-10T03:43:00.000-05:00There's an even more ancient precedent recorded in...There's an even more ancient precedent recorded in Tacitus.
I don't remember the details. It has caught up with them; I just don't think they are aware of it, yet. Actual productivity is what it takes; they'll never understand that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200276.post-70610403131651024262008-12-09T15:15:00.000-05:002008-12-09T15:15:00.000-05:00Bravo Ed!Bravo Ed!Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02283312915111581912noreply@blogger.com
